Head-Mechanics
This is what cold sludge looks like. It forms when oil and
water mix. it emulsifies and turns this cappuccino colour.
you can see dark streaks i the cold sludge were the oil
hasn't properly mixed. You can also see the cam followers
and were the head bolts go.

_files/image011.gif) This has to be the worst case of cold
sludge I have witnessed. you can see that the sludge has
peaked and turned stiff.

The cold sludge from this engine had worked its way to the
air filter and the chambers of the inlet manifold were
filled. The exhaust system was also covered with it. Please
dont drive your car when you have a head gasket failure.
