Here we have pictures of an MGF engine. This engine is used in the MGTF and rover 25's. Its a 1.6l engine which has an electronic split spark ignition system.

Under the 16valve twin cam cover are the spark plugs, coil packs (X2), and the camshaft position sensor. The engine uses the camshaft and crankshaft sensors to determine the positions of the pistons but also which of the four strokes it on. e.g. induction, compression, power, and exhaust.
